The Pend Oreille Arts Council has taken the challenge of displaying art of all styles from local communities for over 30 years. Because of their efforts, the artistic community of Sandpoint is being recognized during this time frame with this art exhibit.
Things That Go Bump in the Night will be the exhibit present at the POAC Gallery in the Old Power House for the next few weeks. Take the opportunity to go and appreciate artists in the Sandpoint area.
Don't forget the 3rd Wednesday of every month is Community Day at Six Rivers Market, all year round! We'll have producers sampling their local food and wares. Area non-profits will have information about how you can get involved in different aspects of our community. And we'll have a special kids' activity table. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Don't miss out on this for your kids sake. Children, ages 10-12 can be a part of this fun and exciting camping event. You can sign up M-F 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Sandpoint West Athletic Club. The kids will have an entire summer month staying busy, hanging out at the beach and doing plenty of exciting activities!
The cost is $60 per week, per child, and it is well worth it.

Best known for their hit songs "Low," "Eurotrash Girl" and "Get Off This," Cracker is an alternative rock band that will be performing at the Panida Theater. The group has released 10 albums in its history, and has plenty of good times to offer to those who are interested.
Coming all the way from Texas is singer-songwriter Carrie Rodriguez, to perform at the Panida Theater! Carrie has recently released her second album, She Ain't Me, and in only in the beginning stages of her music career, she has traveled across Europe with Chip Taylor, known for his hit songs including "Wild Thing."
Come and see Carrie in what will hopefully be the first of many performances in Sandpoint!
Throughout the course of two days you will get all the excitement you need out of the Dover Bay community! Shopping, food, music, home tours and every recreational activity you can imagine are happening on these days, and if you are looking for a good time, you need look no further than this!
This has become an annual event in Sandpoint thanks to a great participation turnout! The race is a 5K run for people of all ages, and there will be prizes for winners of these age groups. The staff in charge of the race is made up entirely of non-paid volunteers, and any money raised in the event goes to families of those battling cancer or other life-threatening diseases. The race is free for children 12 and under, and there are plenty of exciting things going on to make this one race you will not want to miss!
There is also a 1K walk/ fun run for children and parents that will not be timed.
