Bonner County has two school districts: Lake Pend Oreille School District No. 84 and West Bonner County School District 83
School Assessment
Fall 1999 ITBS (Iowa Tests of Basic Skills) tests reveal that Bonner County 8th grade students score at the national level in language arts, above the nation in mathematics, and significantly above the national level in reading.
The fall 1999 TAP (Tests of Achievement and Proficiency) tests show that Bonner County 11th grade students score above the national average in all areas, and significantly above the nation in reading.
The number of Bonner County students in the 11th grade passing the District Writing Assessment on the first attempt has increased from 54% in 1994-95 to 74% in 1996-97.
