Hwy 2 Sandpoint Idaho This photo depicts Hwy 2 leaving Sandpoint headed towards Priest River. Hwy 2 is the primary link between Sandpoint and Priest River and Priest Lake. Following the Pend Oreille River one can often see a variety of wildlife including deer, bear, moose, eagles, osprey and a large variety of other species. The Pend Oreille river is a major recreational waterway with hunting, fishing, water skiing and swimming opportunities awaiting
visitors. This scenic river is also the outflow for Lake Pend Oreille.
