Dover Idaho The town of Dover is a bedroom community of Sandpoint, located just three miles west of town.
Dover was home to the Pack River Lumber Company owned by Sandpoint pioneers Jim and Larry Brown. The old mill site can be seen on the lower left side of this photograph. Southern exposure, nice beaches and good fishing make this a favorite getaway for locals.
Directly behind the mountains in the top of the photo is the Schweitzer Mountain ski area.
