Two days after a 6-point-3 million dollar judgment against his group, Richard Butler wants to make it clear that he is not leaving this area. At today's news conference at the Aryan Nations compound... he said he wants to try and appeal the decision. The problem, he says, is that it's going to cost nearly a million dollars. Butler told us today that his attorney, Edgar Steele, is trying to at least ask for a new trial. Butler also says he's getting e-mails from militia leaders, the KKK, and other supremacy groups around the country, supporting his cause. And, while he says he has to give up the Aryan compound, he will stay in the area as long as he's alive. Ironically, Butler filed for a parade permit to march down the street here in Coeur d'Alene. He says it's to show the area that he's not leaving. That parade could happen on october 28th.. if approved.
